The Foundation for America’s Public Lands Receives Yamaha’s Outdoor Access Initiative Grant

The Foundation for America’s Public Lands is honored to receive a grant of more than $60,000 from Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. This grant was awarded as part of Yamaha’s Outdoor Access Initiative promoting safe, responsible riding and open, sustainable riding areas. These funds will help expand and improve off-highway vehicle (OHV) and trail access in Montana and Utah, fueling a shared commitment to helping Americans experience the fun, excitement, and outdoor adventure on America’s public lands.

As the official Congressionally chartered charitable partner of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Foundation for America’s Public Lands works to ensure the health and stewardship of the nation’s hardest working public lands and waters. This partnership ensures that local communities and millions of riders can enjoy meaningful, well cared for outdoor experiences.

Through this project, the Foundation will establish OHV education kiosks on BLM lands in Montana and upgrade trail signage along Utah’s High Desert Trail system. The grant will also support new outreach tools to build community awareness and engagement around responsible recreation.

By providing these key resources, the project will help promote safe and sustainable riding, protect lands and natural resources, and improve the quality of outdoor experiences for millions of residents and visitors. Clearly marked trails and accessible information will make it easier for families, beginners, and tourists alike to explore America’s public lands safely and responsibly.

We are deeply grateful to Yamaha Motor Corporation for supporting this effort and for their continued commitment to sustainable recreation.
