Our Work
We represent some of the hardest working lands and waters in America
Together with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), local communities, and industry partners we are securing their future health and prosperity.

Stewardship and Restoration
Healthy public lands and waters play a significant role in maintaining the livelihoods and lifestyles of the American people. The Foundation is working alongside the BLM to advance stewardship and restoration initiatives that are critical to ensuring public lands continue to provide clean air and clean water now and into the future.
Recreation and Access
BLM-managed public lands and waters offer worldclass outdoor recreation experiences. Investments in BLM recreation infrastructure have flatlined yet the demand for outdoor recreation continues to grow. The Foundation is helping to drive investments that expand recreational opportunities, bolster local economies, and promote healthy lands and waters.

Awareness and Education
BLM lands and waters offer outstanding recreation opportunities, hold deep cultural and historic significance, and are drivers of economic prosperity for local communities. Connecting more people to our public lands and waters is critical for their long-term support. The Foundation is helping to raise awareness of BLM-managed public lands, spotlighting worldclass recreation sites, highlighting working lands and their economic contributions, celebrating land managers and communities, and inspiring people to find their joy in America’s public lands.
Wild Horses and Burros
Wild horses and burros and the public lands they live on are in crisis. Drought conditions and growing herd populations are putting the health of these animals and the land at risk. The Foundation is helping to raise awareness of the issues facing wild horses and burros and convening stakeholders to identify areas of consensus. We are making direct investments in on-the-ground projects and organizations that are piloting new approaches to ensure healthy lands and healthy horses and burros.
