As Chief Program Officer for the Foundation for America’s Public Lands, Taldi Harrison oversees the Foundation’s state and federal government relations, community engagement, and program development. With nearly 20 years of experience working on public lands, Taldi plays a key role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, including leading the Foundation’s grantmaking programs.
Raised in the Flathead Valley of Montana, Taldi came to the Foundation from REI, where she served as Director of Community and Government Affairs. In this capacity, she oversaw REI’s government affairs work and policy related philanthropy, with a focus on fostering collaborative partnerships with a number of national non-profits and decision makers at the federal, state, and local level to ensure equitable access to and infrastructure for inspiring outdoor recreation opportunities. Harrison also serves on the Board of Directors of EasTrail Partners, The Conservation Alliance, American Forests, and the Recreate Responsibly Steering Committee.
Taldi is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys hiking, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, skiing and camping with her two young daughters.
