Foundation for America’s Public Lands Names Taldi Harrison as Chief Program Officer

Washington, D.C. (August 15, 2024) – Today, the Foundation for America’s Public Lands, the official charitable partner of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), announced Taldi Harrison will serve as its Chief Program Officer (CPO).

Harrison is the latest addition to the Foundation’s growing leadership team and brings close to 20 years of experience working on our public lands. As CPO, Harrison will manage state and federal government relations, community engagement, and program development. She will be responsible for shaping and implementing strategic initiatives, including leading the Foundation’s inaugural grantmaking programs.

Raised in the Flathead Valley of Montana, Harrison comes to the Foundation from REI, where she served as Director of Community and Government Affairs. In this capacity, Harrison oversaw REI’s government affairs work and policy related philanthropy, with a focus on fostering collaborative partnerships with a number of national non-profits and decision makers at the federal, state, and local level to ensure equitable access to and infrastructure for inspiring outdoor recreation opportunities. Harrison also serves on the Board of Directors of EasTrail Partners, The Conservation Alliance, American Forests, and the Recreate Responsibly Steering Committee.
