As Interim Program Lead and Senior Program Officer for the Foundation for America’s Public Lands, Tomer Hasson oversees the Foundation’s state and federal government relations, community engagement, and program development. With decades of work experience in both government and nonprofit sectors, Tomer brings extensive expertise in public land management, wildlife conservation, mitigation, and energy issues, alongside a network of relationships essential for this critical work.
Most recently, Tomer served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Land Management, where he spearheaded the development of a broad restoration strategy for the Bureau. A dedicated public servant, Tomer has also held roles in the Office of Management and Budget within the Executive Office of the President, the U.S. Senate, and spent six years at the Nature Conservancy, including time on the Management Board of the Intermountain West Joint Venture.
Tomer resides in Portland, Oregon, with his wife and two young children, enjoying all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
