What Public Lands Mean to Me

What is your favorite thing to do on public lands or in public waters?

My favorite way to enjoy public lands is finding the perfect dispersed camping spot where I can sleep under the stars and hike with beautiful views alongside my partner and three dogs.

Where is your favorite spot?

I'm always looking for a new spot to explore, so it's hard to pick! A recent favorite was a BLM dispersed camping site in Silverton, Colorado.

What excites you most about working with the Foundation? (or, What excites you most about the work of the Foundation?)

I have been enjoying recreating on BLM lands for years, ever since moving to Colorado in 2018. I now reside in New Mexico, where I'm able to visit so many of our public lands that are so close to home. It is so very exciting to be supporting the BLM's efforts to care for these special places that I've come to love.
